HoYoVerse’s traditional “Special Program” broadcast leading up to Genshin Impact’s Version 2.8 had already given fans a taste of what to expect from the new update. The first half of the patch would feature two banners, with Kazuha receiving his first re-run alongside the star of last year’s Golden Apple Archipelago event, Klee. Yoimiya was revealed to be receiving a re-run following the conclusion of Kazuha and Klee’s banners, marking her first appearance since her release last August. Now, Genshin Impact has officially unveiled the characters and weapons featuring alongside Yoimiya.

A pair of Tweets posted to the official Genshin Impact Twitter account reveals the trio of characters who will be joining Yoimiya as well as the accompanying weapon banner. Yoimiya’s character banner will star a pair of Pyro four-star characters alongside her with Bennett and Xinyan featuring on the banner, as well as Yun Jin joining as the lone non-Pyro character. Xinyan stars as one of the main characters of the ongoing Summer Fantasia event, with both Bennett and Yun Jin sharing connections to some of the event’s main cast.
The featured bow, Thundering Pulse, is considered to be one of the best bows available to players in Genshin Impact working as a great choice for Yoimiya. Thundering Pulse is also considered the best weapon for Fischl with players able to pick up a free copy of the four-star character during the event. Summit Shaper is a solid choice for sword-wielding characters in parties with shielders, notably accompanying two shielding characters in Yun Jin and Xinyan.
Yoimiya’s banner comes as Genshin Impact is gearing up for a major update to come with Version 3.0. Genshin’s next update will introduce the game’s fourth major region of Sumeru as a mix of vast deserts and lush rainforests. Leaks related to the newest region have also unveiled a number of characters set to release during the next few patches with the trio of Tighnari, Collei, and Dori already confirmed for 3.0. Yoimiya’s return will give fans who previously missed out another chance to pick her up, as well as secure a strong weapon to use with her.
Genshin Impact is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in development.
