Two months later and it seems like the new Genshin Impact card game is finally ready to arrive on the live servers in version 3.3. Players will be able to challenge NPCs from all over the world of Teyvat to a duel of Genius Invokation. The card game has also been mentioned by multiple characters from Sumeru.

Reddit user Stealthless has shared an interesting fan-made video on the official Genshin Impact subreddit that gathered over 2.5k upvotes. The video combines the famous Yu-Gi-Oh! anime series which revolves around a card game, and some of Genshin Impact’s recently released characters. The main protagonist in the video is the Electro character Cyno, which does not come as a surprise since he is the most popular Genius Invokation player in Sumeru. Even one of his voice lines reveals that Cyno’s longest span without playing this card game was 20 days due to an extremely important mission he was part of.

Cyno is Sumeru’s General Mahamatra who leads the Matra officers whose main job is to protect the integrity of Sumeru Akademiya. While he’s known for taking his role in the Akademiya too seriously at certain times, outside his duty Cyno is a very easy-going character who enjoys playing card games. Similar to Yu-Gi-Oh!’s main character Yugi Muto, Cyno also has the ability to turn into the Pactsworn Pathclearer, receiving unnatural powers with the help of his Elemental Burst.

A lot of comments claim that Stealthless chose the perfect Genshin Impact lineup for the video. Having the silly leader of the Arataki gang portrayed as Joey Wheeler seems like a natural choice due to their similar personality. Their foolish demeanor often lands both characters into all kinds of trouble. Genshin Impact’s official storyline revealed that Arataki Itto is known for spending time behind bars on multiple occasions before Kuki Shinobu bails him out.

Alhaihtam’s mystique and overall unemotional behavior make him the perfect character for the role of Seto Kaiba. At the moment, Alhaitham is a quest-exclusive NPC who is expected to join the playable roster in the upcoming months. He is confirmed to be a Dendro user and multiple rumors suggest that he could be a new DPS character in Genshin Impact.

Genshin Impact is available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
