Fans have also heard that another upcoming character, Kamisato Ayato, will be arriving soon.

The latest animated Genshin Impact trailer tells players a lot about Yae Miko, from her backstory to her lifestyle. The shrine maiden of the Grand Nurakami Shrine is a cunning and intelligent character. As the editor of her own publishing house, Yae Miko spends her days reading novels from other writers, and overseeing the work of her editors. Her tastes are refined, and the trailer shows viewers her love of fried tofu and sake.
Since Genshin Impact’s release in 2020, there has been a continuous stream of updates from developers miHoYo. Fans have enjoyed new characters, bosses, and regions to explore. Even in the last week, a lot was announced for Genshin Impact during the 2.5 livestream. This update has been anticipated by fans for a while, and MiHoYo showed fans how Yae Miko will function in the game. A 5-star, top tier character, Yae Miko is a powerful addition to any party. As a Catalyst-user, Yae Miko outputs devastating AoE damage through her elemental skills.
Yae Miko players should look to make use of Yae Miko’s continual damage, thanks to her Electro-DPS. Her elemental burst, Great Secret Art: Tenko Kenshin, lets Yae Miko strike enemies with lightning bolts from the sky. When combined with her elemental attack Yakan Evocation, Yae Miko can glide gracefully across the battlefield reigning destruction, dropping Sesshou Sakura beacons to electrocute anyone caught in her wake. A Genshin Impact survey revealed the games most popular characters, and Yae Miko might soon be on there.
Some Genshin Impact players will be wondering whether they can afford the new character. Some Primogems calculations can be done for version 2.5, and players can boost their currency with the Battle Pass. MiHoYo is also going to give players free gifts throughout the 2022 Lantern Rite event, in celebration of Chinese New Year.
Genshin Impact is available now on Mobile, PC, PlayStation 4, and Playstation 5. A Switch version is currently in development.
