After months of leaks and rumors, Genshin Impact finally added Scaramouche, now known as Wanderer, to the playable roster in the first part of the current update 3.3. He has been one of the main antagonists in the whole Sumeru arc so far and even received his own weekly boss domain.

Reddit user PHD_Novel has shared a chart on the official Genshin Impact subreddit showing how well the current double banner is doing in terms of revenue. According to the post, the Wanderer and Itto banner managed to take the fifth spot on the list, which came as a surprise, at least according to a couple of replies in the comment section. However, it should be noted that the numbers shown in the chart only represent iOS devices on the Chinese server. Fans claim that they didn’t expect Wanderer to do so well, considering that previous updates were stacked with new popular character releases like the Dendro Archon Nahida who broke multiple revenue records.
However, Wanderer seems to have a very loyal fan-base that has been waiting for his release since his first appearance two years ago during the Unreconciled Stars event. Even though many players expected him to be one of the end-game bosses players could face in Snezhnaya, HoYoverse decided to give him a villain arc in the Sumeru storyline.
When it comes to his abilities on the field, Wanderer is one of the best DPS characters in Genshin Impact with the ability to fit multiple team compositions thanks to his Anemo Vision. Players who want to get the new Anemo user should also try to acquire his signature weapon, Tulaytullah’s Remembrance, which is part of the ongoing weapon banner.
Even though it’s safe to say that Wanderer probably carried the banner’s sales, a lot of players probably also pulled for the Itto, the troublesome leader of the Arataki gang. At the moment, he is the only five-star Geo character that can fill the main DPS role which makes him a must-have for the famous all-Geo team comp in Genshin Impact. The four-star character Gorou, who is considered Itto’s best support, is also part of the current banner.
Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
