The most recent skin additions were at the start of 2022 during Genshin Impact update 2.4 in which two popular characters, Ningguang and Keqing, received their Lantern Rite skins. It seems like HoYoverse has finally decided to introduce two new outfits for some two of the oldest characters in the roster.

After many months of speculations, the game’s official YouTube channel has finally confirmed the arrival of two new Genshin Impact skins by releasing a brand-new trailer outfit teaser. The video reveals two new skins for popular characters Diluc and Fischl. Diluc’s skin is named Red Dead of Night and, according to numerous replies in the comment section, it suits Diluc’s overall character design. Fans have pointed out that his signature weapon, Wolf’s Gravestone, perfectly fits the whole concept of the skin.

Numerous replies in the comment section claim that the new Diluc skin will probably bring the fan-favorite Pyro claymore character back to the meta, at least for a short period of time. He was once considered the best DPS character in Genshin Impact, however, the release of newer and stronger characters has pushed Diluc down the tier lists, and he is probably a B-tier character at the moment. Diluc’s new skin will be the first five-star costume in the game as it will introduce special effects to his combat animations.

While the majority of fans seem satisfied about the new skin design, a big part of the community is unhappy about the recent leaks claiming that the new skin will cost around 2500 Genesis Crystals which is approximately $40. Players claim that they will rather save their Genesis Crystals and Primogems for the upcoming major update which will introduce a number of new characters. However, leaks have already confirmed that Fischl’s new “Ein Immernachtstraum” skin will apparently be obtainable for free as part of the upcoming events.

When it comes to the skins’ release date, the recent Genshin Impact livestream event has confirmed that the two new outfits should arrive with Genshin Impact update 2.8. Fans who want to acquire the skins should probably try to do so during the event considering that Fischl’s skin will be given out for free and Diluc’s Red Dead of Night outfit will get a significant discount during Version 2.8.

Genshin Impact is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in development.
