Genshin Impact players also have to adapt their parties to the enemy lineup in order to take advantage of their weaknesses such as low resistance to heavy attacks or different types of elemental shields. Just like in most other domains, the game allows up to four different characters within a team composition.

Reddit user qri_pretty has shared a chart showing the most used characters for the current Spiral Abyss in Genshin Impact update 3.3. The domain keeps changing its enemy lineup twice a month which means that players need to adapt their party in order to get all the precious rewards including Primogems. According to the chart, the most used character is the Geo Archon Zhongli with an 84.1% pick rate. Since his release back in update 1.1, Zhongli has always been one of the most flexible units in the game due to his ability to grant the strongest shield in Genshin Impact as well as provide tons of damage.

Besides creating the Jade Shield, his elemental skill can also spawn a Geo pillar that deals AoE damage over a significant time period. Zhongli’s burst lets him crush down a Geo meteor on his enemies, also dealing a significant amount of damage in a large area. The second most popular character, at least according to the post, is the Pyro user Bennett who is widely considered the best four-star character in Genshin Impact.

Just like Zhongli, his kit has a lot to offer which makes him a great pick for several different team compositions. Bennett’s Fantastic Voyage is probably one of, if not the best supportive elemental bursts in Genshin Impact as it provides a strong AoE heal and a damage buff. The third character on the list is the famous Dendro Archon Nahida who was released in the previous update.

She is by many considered the strongest Archon in the game, at least in the current character meta. Nahida even managed to overtake her Archon colleague Raiden Shogun when it comes to overall banner revenue. However, it should be noted that Nahida is dependent on having a decent team composition around since her whole kit revolves around triggering elemental reactions.

Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
