Genshin Impact’s main story chapters focus on particular regions of the game such as Mondstadt, Liyue, and Inazuma. Mondstadt serves as the introductory chapter of Genshin Impact as players learn about antagonistic threats in the world. Players first meet Amber on the way to the city of Mondstadt, and she proceeds to introduce the Traveler to various parts of the city.

To celebrate Amber’s birthday, HoYoverse released new art featuring the iconic character through the official Genshin Impact Twitter account. The artwork is accompanied by dialogue of Amber addressing the Traveler. The first piece of art was illustrated by the artist yu-ri and depicts Amber with her Baron Bunny. Amber prepared useful items for the Traveler’s journey into Sumeru, a region that will be introduced with Genshin Impact version 3.0. She provides a friendly send-off to the Traveler, but Amber’s connections to Sumeru imply that she could appear once more to help an old friend.

The second piece of art features Amber, the Traveler, and Paimon sitting near the top of the Mondstadt clock tower. The group has a great view of the greater Mondstadt area, and the top of the clock tower is a high enough to provide a suitable descent for gliding. Amber thanks the Traveler for joining her and wants to have another gliding competition.

Amber was an important character during the launch of Genshin Impact as one of the first party members to join players on their quest. She’s still a fan-favorite in the community nearly two years after launch. Amber’s new artwork gives delightful insight into her friendship with the Traveler while players explore the far reaches of Genshin Impact’s world.

Players will soon discover secrets within the region of Sumeru, and the Genshin Impact version 3.0 special program on August 13 will give an overview of what’s to come. Genshin Impact version 3.0 is expected to arrive around August 25, which means players could enter Sumeru for the first time by the end of the month.

Genshin Impact is available now for Android, iOS, PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. A Nintendo Switch version is in development.
