Spiral Abyss is currently the only end-game content in Genshin Impact. In this challenge, players can test the growth of their characters twice in a single update. The Abyss resets with each update, and it often requires a strong Genshin Impact lineup to defeat different sets of enemies, especially for the last two floors. In every phase, players have to adjust to a new set of buffs. The buff is usually catered to put the featured 5-Star characters in an advantage, making it easier for players who pull in the current banner.

Late game players, especially after Adventure Rank 55 are often complaining that the game currently lacks more end-game content. A recent post on the official Genshin Impact subreddit tackling this issue has gathered a lot of attention. Reddit user Ichigatsu has shared his frustration that once the main quests are finished, the daily Genshin Impact routine more or less includes just farming for the Spiral Abyss content. Each new Genshin Impact update brings a set of new events and mini-games but it seems as though players want a more diverse end-game challenge as the current Abyss floors can become a bit tedious.
In the past couple of updates, miHoYo tried to solve this issue by slowly increasing the Spiral Abyss difficulty. Since the introduction of the Inazuma islands in Genshin impact Version 2.0, the Abyss floors have been increasingly stronger with each new update. The Abyss floors from update 1.0 to 1.6 had a fairly constant level of difficulty with some small exceptions. Increasing the difficulty ceiling does not seem to be the main problem as many players even prefer it, but making the current content much harder compared to the rest of the game seems unnatural.
Most players grind for the perfect weapon or artifact set to overcome the hardest Abyss floors. This grind usually includes multiple RNG layers that can make the hard work even more frustrating. Rather than a significant increase in difficulty, players are asking for another permanent dungeon that would shake up the current meta which revolves heavily around the Spiral Abyss. The thread mentioned the Labyrinth Warrior dungeon as a great example of an interesting mini-game that gave a different perspective on what is the most efficient build path.
Genshin Impact is available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, and a Nintendo Switch version in development.
