While most chests in the game can be found simply by traveling the world of Teyvat, some of them require more complex tasks like defeating monsters or solving various puzzles. A Genshin Impact fan has recently shared a way to acquire a chest that most players have probably missed.

A video posted on the Genshin Impact subreddit shows how players can acquire a hidden Luxurious Chest in the newly added region Chasm. In order to access this chest, players need to find the secret entrance in the underground part of Chasm, north of the Main Mining Area. This chest contains numerous rewards from Artifacts and Mora to precious Primogems. Players can also open the gate shown in the video which will unlock an in-game achievement.

The new region Chasm was added in the current Genshin Impact update 2.6, which also introduced the head of the Kamisato clan - Ayato. Chasm is located in the southwest part of the popular Liyue region, and it’s divided between the above-ground terrain and the underground mines. Even though the chests in Genshin Impact don’t have a respawn mechanic, each new region brings new ones for players to find.

Genshin Impact’s late-game content does not offer as many activities for players to play though, apart from the famous Spiral Abyss floors. Players often find themselves repeating the same daily routine of farming the right gear while waiting for a new update. This makes finding hidden chests in mysterious locations a fresh piece of content, and it gives players a reason to wander through the world of Teyvat.

Previous map leaks have revealed that Chasm is placed between Liyue and another Genshin Impact nation named Sumeru. Each major update in the game brings a new major region with Inazuma being the most recent addition. Sumeru has been heavily rumored to arrive in the next big 3.0 update which should drop around mid-August, at least according to the game’s usual update schedule. There is a lot of hype surrounding Sumeru since the official story confirmed that the region’s representative element is Dendro. Out of seven elements, Dendro is the only one that still has not appeared as a part of a playable character’s kit.

Genshin Impact is available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is currently in development.
