Reddit user EnchantedPapaya recently shared a Genshin Impact screenshot from their adventure that put their character underneath the map of Inazuma next to a patiently sitting cat. Out of the several pets that players can acquire in Genshin Impact like Seelie who appears with each Lost Riches event or Shiki Koshou from the Labyrinth Warriors event, cats like this hidden one aren’t among the possibilities. During the Bantan Sango Case Files: The Warrior Dog event, players can quest alongside the dogs of the action-RPG, while outside the event the canines can still be easily spotted in Liyue Harbor’s west bridge, on Wangshu Inn’s observation deck, and other social hubs, making Genshin Impact dogs much more common.

EnchantedPapaya Genshin Impact screenshot shows the player standing in a ravine under the map of Inazuma in a spot that appears transparent but is likely meant to be solid ground given the surrounding structures. The Genshin Impact player has seemingly glitched under the region of Inazuma while trying to reach Ryuuji who is 24 meters directly above the lost cat for a quest that tasks them with getting information. Playing as Geo Genshin Impact character Zhongli, EnchantedPapaya stands next to a white and gray cat that stares up at them in the same way that it might if it were discovered in a hiding spot on the surface level.

In the background of EnchantedPapaya’s screenshot are a few Inazuma buildings that are noticeably missing pieces to their architecture which helps to prove that EnchantedPapaya has glitched through the ground. Because these Genshin Impact cats are more like an Easter egg to be found by exploring players, there’s no advantage that a player will get for glitching under Inazuma to find the one in EnchantedPapaya’s image. Though cats won’t reward players with loot or Primogems, there are hidden Genshin Impact chests that players can acquire by scouring every detail in the map which will provide a more tangible gift.

As many Genshin Impact players have expressed their enthusiasm for EnchantedPapaya’s ability to reach the gray and white cat, others suggested catching the cat which isn’t the right breed to collect according to EnchantedPapaya. Although multiple fans stated that they’d like to access this part of Genshin Impact’s Inazuma, EnchantedPapaya dispelled some notions by clarifying that the slow speed of their computer may have played a role in the ability to clip through the floor.

Genshin Impact is available now for Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
