With every new five-star addition to the character roster, the game usually includes their signature weapon in the same update. One of the most credible leakers in the community named GI__Front has revealed new five-star weapons that will arrive with Genshin Impact update 3.1.

The two weapons are called Key of Hierophany and Staff of the Scarlet Sands. Key of Hierophany will be a new sword that will serve as a signature weapon for the new five-star character Nilou and according to a popular Genshin Impact stats website called Project Amber, the weapon will have the following stats:

Weapon Type: Sword Base Attack: 542 Secondary stat: HP percentage Secondary stat max. value: 66. 2% Passive (Refinement Rank 1): Increases HP by 20%. The character will gain an effect called Grand Hymn whenever they hit an opponent with their Elemental Skill. This effect will increase the character’s Elemental Mastery by 0. 12% of their max. HP and the effect can be triggered once every 0. 3 seconds. The effect has three stacks and upon reaching the third stack, the Elemental Mastery of all nearby party members will get increased by 0. 2% of the weapon holder’s max HP.

The second weapon, Staff of the Scarlet Sands will be a new polearm designed for another character that is scheduled for Version 3.1, the long-awaited Electro user Cyno. Previous leaks have confirmed that Cyno will be a new DPS character in Genshin Impact and many players consider him to be a stronger five-star version of Razor. According to Project Amber, Staff of the Scarlet Sands will have the following stats:

Weapon Type: Polearm Base Attack: 542 Secondary stat: Crit Rate Secondary stat max. value: 44. 1% Passive (Refinement Rank 1): The character using this weapon will receive 52% of their Elemental Mastery as bonus Attack. Hitting an opponent with an Elemental Skill will give an additional buff that will increase the character’s Attack by 28% of their EM. This effect is limited to three stacks.

Staff of the Scarlet Sands will probably be the go-to weapon for most DPS characters from Sumeru considering that most characters from the new region have their build revolve around Elemental Mastery. A big part of Cyno’s damage potential relies on building a significant amount of Elemental Mastery which makes him the prime candidate to use this weapon.

Genshin Impact is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in development.
