With the whole Inazuma Arc coming to an end, it’s expected that players might get the option to explore a new main nation in the foreseeable future. Rumors have been hinting that the upcoming region is the mysterious land named Sumeru. A recent Genshin Impact leak reveals more information about one of the upcoming characters.

A popular Genshin Impact leaker named Ubatcha1 has shared additional information about one of the upcoming characters, named Tighnari, who is expected to arrive in the next major update. He has confirmed that Tighnari is a bow user with Klee-like ears, which is apparently very common for Sumeru characters. The community is confused by the character’s name considering that it’s quite different from all the other names featured in the playable roster. Each main region in Genshin Impact represents a real-life location along with its culture. Multiple fan-made theories claim that the name is based on a popular Arab scientist named Al-Tighnari.
According to the game’s leakers, the theory makes sense considering that Sumeru is expected to be based on the Southeast Asia and the Middle East. Another popular leaker named SpendYourPrimos has potentially revealed additional information about the upcoming Genshin Impact character. Tighnari’s hair is dark and short, and he will apparently have long shorts, boots with laces and a bright green shoulder cape.
When it comes to her rarity, Tighnari is said to be a five-star character who is expected to arrive alongside two additional four-star characters in Genshin Impact Version 3.0. One of those characters is the previously leaked Collei. Apparently, Collei’s kit is already done meaning that she could arrive fairly soon. The fact that she is able to control elemental powers without a Vision makes her one of the most unique characters in the game’s lore.
The reason why Collei does not have a Vision is probably because she was a subject of the Archon Residue research. The official manga revealed that the Fatui experiments gave her unnatural powers, even without a Vision. The addition of a new major Genshin Impact region means that the arrival of a brand new Genshin Impact Archon is just around the corner. Her name is Lesser Lord Kusanali, and she will serve as a protector of the whole Sumeru region.
