While HoYoVerse has yet to officially reveal the addition of Genshin Impact’s new desert, several details about the upcoming region have already been leaked. The expanded desert is set to feature even more underground canyons like those featured in Version 3.1, along with the addition of a new world boss. Sumeru’s new region is also heavily rumored to be one of two expansions to the desert, with another believed to be coming with Version 3.6. Now, a recent leak has given players a look at the map for Version 3.4’s desert expansion.

The image shared by Genshin Impact leaker Unknown Goddess shows off the full map for Sumeru’s new desert region, complete with names, Waypoints, and Domains. The new region centers around the massive Mt. Damavand with the surrounding geography swirling around the center of the colossal mountain. The desert map reveals two new Domains will be featured within the expanded region, however no information is given about what kind of materials are contained within. The map features multiple pathways to enter the new desert, both from Sumeru’s rainforest and desert areas.

The expansion to Sumeru’s desert comes as just one of several leaked locations rumored to be coming to the game within the near future. Along with the previously mentioned additional expansion to Sumeru’s desert, the game’s first two regions have both seen rumors of new locations with Mondstadt’s Dornman Port and Liyue’s Qiaoying Village. A major datamine from last month also gave early details about the game’s next major region, revealing early models and maps of Fontaine.

Between leaks and official reveals, Genshin Impact fans have already gotten a sneak peek at plenty of what’s in store for Version 3.4. Version 3.4 is set to feature two new characters with Al Haitham and the long-rumored Yaoyao, alongside the return of the annual Lantern Rite event. The coming update is also rumored to feature re-run banners for several popular Liyue characters including Xiao, Hu Tao, and Yelan. With a new region to explore and new Liyue events to experience, Version 3.4 looks to be a busy update for Genshin Impact fans.

Genshin Impact is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in development.
