Even though Alhaitham and Yaoyao are yet to officially join Genshin Impact’s live servers, recent rumors have already revealed a lot of information about the next characters. Dehya has made multiple appearances over the past couple of months during the Sumeru storyline where she was presented as a skillful warrior that belongs to the Eremites.

A new post on the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit shows the description for Dehya’s whole kit. According to the leak, Dehya’s Elemental Skill will be named Molten Inferno, and it will allow her to deal AoE Pyro damage while creating a field effect called Fiery Sanctum. If this field was already active, she will be able to perform a leaping attack that also deals AoE Pyro damage and recreates Fiery Sanctum at her new position. Enemies that are attacked within the field will receive additional Pyro damage and active characters that are affected by it will have increased resistance to interruption.

Dehya’s Elemental Burst will make her enter the Blazing Lioness state which will grant her additional resistance to interruption, and it will cause her to throw away her weapon and switch to hand-to-hand combat. During his effect, Dehya will continuously deal Pyro damage to nearby opponents. At the end of her burst’s duration, she will unleash an Incineration Drive kick that will deal tons of AoE Pyro damage. This skill will also allow the Pyro user to relocate her Fiery Sanctum field.

This kit will allow Dehya to be the main DPS, but she will also have strong sub-DPS capabilities since her Fiery Sanctum stays on the field even when she gets swapped out. Some players claim that they like the fact that HoYoverse is introducing the game’s first bruiser to the roster. Dehya will be the first five-star Pyro character to arrive to the game after Yoimiya who was part of version 2.0.

When it comes to her release date, Dehya has been confirmed for Genshin Impact update 3.5 which, according to the usual update schedule, should arrive in the first half of March. Dehya won’t be the only new addition in the update as developer HoYoverse already announced another character named Mika.

Genshin Impact is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in development.
