A recent leak on the popular Genshin_Impact_Leaks subreddit has apparently revealed the official image for the upcoming update. While most of the displayed characters are expected, one of them certainly stands out and players might receive an unexpected Genshin Impact banner re-run.

One of the most credible Genshin Impact leakers named Ubatcha1 has apparently revealed the official art of the upcoming Genshin Impact 2.6 update. The official art displays two limited characters alongside the Traveler and Paimon. Fans are a bit confused with Albedo’s presence on the banner considering that he had a re-run in update 2.3, and it usually takes at least five updates for a limited character to appear on the re-run. However, displaying a character on an official is one of miHoYo’s ways to announce that a character will be a part of a new banner.

Another Genshin Impact leaker named Lumie has confirmed that the first banner cycle will bring a double banner featuring new character Kamisato Ayato and Venti. Ayato has been one of the most popular characters in the game since the game’s official story revealed that he’s Ayaka’s brother and the head of the famous Kamisato clan. His official art has confirmed that he will be a new five-star Hydro character, and he will apparently be using a sword in combat.

Venti is one of the first characters that arrived to the game and unlike most older characters, he is still considered ot be one of the strongest supports in Genshin Impact. He is probably the best choice for most characters that need a support that can group a bunch of smaller enemies. He was originally expected to arrive alongside another Anemo five-star character, Kazuha, but it seems as though Hoyoverse decided to delay his re-run.

The game’s official Twitter account has recently shared an image from the upcoming event trailer which will feature Ayaka and Venti alongside Ayato. This gives even more credibility to the previous rumors claiming that Ayaka will be a part of the second banner. There is a chance that the second banner for update 2.6 features both Albedo and Ayaka, however this should still be taken with the grain of salt and the only confirmed character so far is Ayato.

Genshin Impact is available right now for Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5, with a Switch version also in development.
