So far, Genshin Impact introduced four major regions, Mondstadt, Liyue, Inazuma, and Sumeru, which means that developer HoYoverse is yet to add three new Archons. One of them is Focalors, who watches over the Fontaine nation, which is expected to be the next major region to arrive in the game.

Over the last couple of weeks, numerous leaks have revealed more details about Fontaine and its playable characters. One of those units is expected to be the Hydro Archon Focalors, who is also known as the God of Justice. Every region in the game has its divine ideals, and the people of Fontane worship justice and technology above all. A new post on the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit claims that the upcoming Hydro Archon will apparently use the claymore as its weapon type. There are five different weapon types in the game, and they will be spread over the 7 Archons, meaning that two weapon types will be featured twice.

According to previous Genshin Impact leaks, Focalors’ design will be based on a character from Honkai Impact 3rd, named Seele. At the moment, the claymore is one of the two weapon types that is not used by any Archon in the game. However, these leaks should still be taken with a grain of salt since other characters like the Cryo polearm user Shenhe or the sword alchemist Albedo were initially rumored to be bow users. Even though there is no official information about Fontaine’s release date, it’s expected to arrive around August 2023.

When it comes to its location, rumors have been hinting that it will be attached to the western part of Liyue, and it will also be accessible from the upcoming Sumeru desert. The description for the Symbol of Felicitation artifact piece suggests that the Goe region has another port besides Liyue Harbor, and many fans suspect that it could be connected to Fontaine.

Previous beta leaks have revealed that Fontaine’s main city is attached to a vertical platform, and it has a steampunk theme. Considering that it’s known as the Hydro region, fans expect it to be filled with numerous rivers and waterfalls.

Genshin Impact is available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5, and a Switch port is also in development.
