Genshin Impact’s playable character roster keeps growing with reach new update as the massively popular RPG prepared to welcome its newest addition with Yae Miko. One of the most common fan requests since the official release are certainly new skins for the game’s unique cast. So far there have been only four different character costumes with two of those arriving in the ongoing Genshin Impact 2.4 update. However, multiple leaks claim that things are finally about to change.

A recent leak on Reddit by a credible Genshin Impact leaker named Tangzhu has apparently revealed more information about upcoming costumes. The leak claims that popular Genshin Impact characters, Diluc and Fischl, could receive a new set of cosmetics. Both of these characters are from the Mondstadt region and the fact that previous Genshin Impact rumors have already hinted that the next pair of skins will be related to this region gives even more credibility to the leak.

The new skins could be a part of the upcoming Mondstadt expansion that should arrive in the two upcoming updates, at least according to multiple leaks. Players know that a part of the map is still locked, and apparently, the current version is only 60% of the whole region which will be expanded to the north of the city. This region is the first one that was introduced to the game and the main Genshin Impact story begins with the Traveler meeting Amber and heading to Mondstadt.

The Midsummer Island Adventure event has brought the first two skins for popular characters Jean and Barbara. Barbara’s skin was obtainable for free just for the duration of the event, and it’s currently purchasable in the in-game shop for 1680 Genesis Crystals. Jean’s costume was never free and currently goes for the same price. The same system has been applied with the recently added Ningguang and Keqing skins as Ningguang’s skin is obtainable by finishing quests and players need to spend Genesis Crystals for Keqing’s skin. Both events brought a combination of one four-star and one five-star character and players can likely expect the same approach for Diluc and Fischl.

Genshin Impact is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is currently in development with no confirmed release date.
