While version 2.4 arrived just a couple of days ago, new leaks have already revealed information about the next update. Further, the official Genshin impact Social media accounts have already confirmed Yae Miko as the new playable character.

Recent Genshin Impact leaks have been predicting the arrival of another popular character - the long-awaited Kamisato Ayato. He is the head of the Kamisato clan and even though most players thought that it was his sister Ayaka who was pulling the strings for the clan, recent story quests have revealed that it’s actually Ayato who assumes the leadership tasks for the clan to remain powerful. An interesting post on the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit has revealed that Ayato will be a sub-DPS or support character. This particular leak was originally taken from the website ngabbs and fans have provided an accurate translation in the comment section of the Reddit thread.
Previous leaks have revealed the description for Ayato’s Elemental skill and burst. Apparently, his skills will have the following effects:
Elemental Skill (E) - When Ayato’s Elemental Skill is activated at the same he’s attacked by an enemy, he gains a stack of “Kendo Pose” Elemental Burst (Q) - Ayato performs a plunge attack draining a stack of Kendo Pose. The leak recommends that his Burst is used when he has at least three stacks
When it comes to his appearance, Ayato has been rumored to have short blue hair, which makes sense since his sister Ayaka has a similar hair color. Rumors claim that Ayato might have a resemblance to Otto from the game Honkai Impact. Both of them share the same Japanese and Chinese voice actor. Further on the thread claims that Ayato will have a white coat similar to the three admirals in the popular anime One Piece.
He’s heavily hinted to be a Hydro character, which could mean that he could have great synergy with his sister Ayaka, who is one of the most unique Genshin Impact characters. Just like his sister, Ayato is expected to be a sword user, which would make him the second Hydro sword character after Xingqiu. When it comes to his release date, another Genshin Impact leaker has revealed that he could arrive with update 2.6, which according to miHoYo’s usual update schedule will arrive around April 10, 2022.
Genshin Impact is available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is currently in development.
