Reddit user dombatoe has noticed a number of similarities between the recently released character demo for Tighnari and an older demo featuring the popular Cryo bow user Ganyu. The first is that both characters give compliments to plants, which in Tighnari’s case, does not come as a surprise considering that he is also known as the Forest Watcher. The two characters also seem to be holding some kind of ball at certain points of their demos and they both have unique Charged Attack mechanics.
Holding the Charged Attack button a little longer than usual will make the arrows much more powerful. In Tignari’s case, his Wreath Arrow will create four Clusterbloom Arrows that track nearby enemies and deal Dendro damage in the process. Ganyu’s Frostflake Arrow blooms after reaching a target dealing AoE Cryo damage. The final similarity mentioned in the Reddit thread is the fact that both demos show the two characters fighting enemies in their dreams.
Mutliple replies in the comment section claim that will most likely skip Tighnari’s limited banner since developer HoYoverse announced that he will be joining the Standard Banner after 3.0 ends which means that they would eventually get this character when they lose a 50/50 on a limited five-star. However, this also means that once Tighnari joins the Standard Banner, acquiring all of his constellation levels will take tons of Primogems since the banner features six different characters.
Players who want to get the new Dendro five-star character should keep in mind that his banner duration is shortened due to the recent Genshin Impact update schedule adjustments. Both Ganyu and Tighnari are part of the ongoing Genshin Impact update 3.0, but Ganyu is scheduled for the second banner cycle. She is one of, if not the best DPS characters in the game if paired with the right team composition. She will arrive on a double banner alongside a strong five-star healer named Sangonomiya Kokomi.
Genshin Impact is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in development.
