A Reddit user has garnered 2,800 upvotes on a post in which they point out the amount of a Genshin Impact character’s face that the forehead takes up whether they have hair covering it or not. There are 54 playable Genshin Impact characters including the one that players start with that can be acquired through playing through the main story, making Wishes, completing event-related objectives, or purchasing through the in-game shop. Though these characters vary in many ways from the elements that they wield to their design, all of them seem to share a strange quirk that is hard to unsee.

Reddit user Honestly-Bored recently shared two Genshin Impact screenshots to highlight a point about how the several characters of the game look alike as it pertains to their foreheads. While many Genshin Impact characters like Yun Jin and Kamisato Ayaka have hair that covers their large foreheads as has been pointed out by Honestly-Bored, the Reddit user’s second image removes the hair of Pyro hero Diluc. With the bright red hair removed from Diluc, Genshin Impact fans can see how much of the face is covered by the hair, and how all the facial features are closer to the character’s chin than the top of his head. Beyond simply removing Diluc’s hair, Honestly-Bored also adds a measuring field to the head in order to line up the top of the character’s head with one and the chin with another, spotlighting his eyes with a dotted line in the middle. This central line shows that the eyes are nearly as close to the chin as they could be without starting to wrap around the head. Because Diluc shares this remarkable similarity with the other characters in Honestly-Bored’s post and more highlighted by the community, a majority of Genshin Impact heroes may have this strange design quirk.

Because many of the Genshin Impact NPCs share similar designs to the playable heroes, fans may be hard-pressed to find any characters in the world of Teyvat that have more proportionate faces. Although most Genshin Impact characters may share the similarity pointed out by Honestly-Bored, Fatui Harbinger Pulcinella and creatures like the Aranara provide their own unique changes that provide some variety.

Genshin Impact is available now for mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5.
