The video features the Chasm which is one of the fan-favorite subregions in the community that arrived back in Genshin Impact update 2.6. Since then, HoYoverse has added multiple expansions including a brand-new major region named Sumeru which also introduced the long-awaited Dendro element.

Reddit user HeavyWeath3r has posted an interesting video that shows players how to turn their exploration experience in Chasm into a horror movie. In order to do so, they first need to learn how to trigger a glitch that allows them to move in a first-person view. This glitch is apparently only possible for PC players as it involves complicated key binding. Players also need to get the Momento Lens gadget by completing the Sakura Cleansing world quest in Inazuma. This gadget allows players to enter the camera mode and reveal the chest and investigation points in the Electro region. Players then need to activate their Camera and the Momento Lens at the same time and try to reconnect to enter the first-person glitch.
After triggering the glitch, the player visits Chasm’s underground mines and lowers the brightness level which allows for an interesting horror-like exploration experience. Chasm is also filled with multiple mysterious caves with terrifying enemies as well suspiciously damaged bridges. Players seem to like the video as the post reached almost 7k upvotes on Genshin Impact’s official subreddit.
Even though it’s connected to Sumeru, the Chasm actually belongs to the Liyue region. A recently released artifact set may hint at a new Liyue expansion that could arrive in the future. The description for the Symbol of Felicitation artifact piece mentions that Liyue has another port besides Liyue Harbor which could be located in one of the areas that are yet to be unlocked.
Many fans expect this part of Liyue to arrive even before the new major update which will introduce Fontaine, the home of the Hydro Archon. This nation is expected to be connected to the western part of Liyue which could include this additional port. However, these rumors should be taken with a grain of salt since Fontaine’s official arrival is still many months away.
Genshin Impact is available on mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5 with a Switch version also in development.
