A new post on the official HoYoverse forum named HoYoLAB reveals the Elemental Resonance effect for the upcoming Dendro element as well as the changes to Electro and Hydro resonances. According to the post, the upcoming update will introduce the following changes to elemental resonances:
New Dendro Resonance (Sprawling Greenery) - Increases Elemental Mastery by 50. All nearby party members will gain 30 Elemental Mastery for six seconds if Quicken, Bloom or Burning are triggered. Triggering Aggravate, Burgeon, Hyperbloom or Spread will grant 20 Elemental Mastery for the same duration. Hydro Resonance (Soothing Water) - players will get affected by Pyro for 40% less time, and it will increase max. HP by 25% Electro Resonance (High Voltage) - players will get affected by Hydro for 40% less time. Triggering Superconduct, Electro-Charged, Overloaded, Qicken, Aggravate or Hyperbloom will have a 100% chance to generate elemental particles.
The Elemental Mastery buff on the Dendro element does not come as a surprise considering that many of the new elemental reactions scale with this stat. According to recent leaks and the official Genshin Impact version 3.0 live stream, the new Dendro element will introduce six new elemental reactions which will have a significant impact on the game’s combat system.
Players seem overall happy with the new changes claiming that they would like to see similar adjustments to existing elements in the future as they can have the potential to shift the character meta in Genshin Impact. Multiple replies claim that the 25% HP increase on the Hydro Resonance will propel a big number of Hydro users to the S-tier.
Most healers in Genshin Impact use their max. HP to scale their healing abilities which means that this could be an indirect buff for them. The changes to the Electro Resonance are not as significant, but they will resolve some issues for Electro team compositions that have Energy problems. All the changes are expected to go live once the new Genshin Impact update 3.0 arrives on August 24.
Genshin Impact is now available on mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development with no confirmed release date.
