Genshin Impact leaks usually hint at new character releases even months before they arrive to the live servers. A popular leaker named SaveYourPrimos has revealed more information about the two popular Dendro users.

According to the leak, Alhaitham and Baizhu will not arrive before Genshin Impact 3.6 which, going by HoYoverse’s usual update schedule, should arrive around April 2023. This caught many players by surprise considering that Alhaitham is part of the ongoing Sumeru quest lines where he serves as a member of the Haravatat of the Sumeru Academya. The official story has revealed that Alhaitham lives with a popular Sumeru architect named Kaveh who went broke even though he created the famous Palace of Alcazarzaray.

When it comes to his weapon type, one of the recent Sumeru videos has confirmed that he will be using a sword. The teaser also shows a fight between him and the popular character Cyno which probably means that their feud will be one of the topics in the upcoming Genshin Impact version 3.1. His unusual name is apparently based on a famous Arab scientist named Ibn Al-Haytham which makes sense since the whole Sumeru region is loosely based on Southwest Asia.

The second character mentioned in the leak, Baizhu, has been rumored to join the playable roster for over a year. Just like Alhaitham, he is a quest-exclusive NPC who appeared during a couple of quests in Liyue. He is known as the owner of the popular Bubu Pharmacy which offers players various sets of items that refresh every three days. Baizhu is recognizable by his unique green hair as well as a snake named Changsheng which is wrapped around his neck.

Baizhu was the first character that appeared in the game with a Dendro Vision which led many players to believe that he would be the first Dendro user to arrive to the roster. When it comes to his weapon type, even though there is still no official information, fans expect him to be a new catalyst healer which makes sense story-wise since he owns a pharmacy. A big part of the community also expected Baizhu to arrive during the next Lantern Rite Festival which is an annual event, always hosted in his hometown, Liyue Harbor.

Genshin Impact is available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, and a Nintendo Switch version in development.
